Barcodes are machine-readable code in the form of numbers and a pattern of parallel lines of varying widths, printed on and identifying a product.

A Barcode can be added as an annotation to a document either manually using the typed text annotation, or for a barcode that is used repeatedly or with environmental variables (ie timestamps), you can create a Rubber Stamp for Barcodes.

Here we'll cover how to make a Barcode via Typed Text annotation

1. Click "Type Text" annotation button from the top menu.

2. Select an area on the document for the Text to be placed, and enter the text you would like the Barcode to translate to, surrounded by * characters.

3. Right click on the annotation and choose Font.

4. Set the Font to Barcode 3 to 9 and customize the font appearance as needed.

5. Click Annotations < Burn Selected Annotations

At this point, the Barcode annotation is burned to the image and is ready for use.
