Currency fields are masked to display data entered as currency. You can only input a number into a currency field. Use the display mask in the field properties dialog to change the dollar sign to the desired currency or for other formatting.
The Currency Field can have one of the following edit control types:
Spin Editor - use the Spin Control consisting of an up and down arrow on the right of the field to increase or decrease a value. The Spin Editor in a Currency Field will only work with the Dollar amount not cents.
Calculator Editor - allows user to calculate a number to enter into the field
Static Data Lookup List - users choose from a preset defined set of numbers
Dynamic Data Lookup List - users choose from or add a list of numbers.
